Stayer Groadinger UG

Ever since I got my first road bike I’ve enjoyed exploring new placed by bike. It didn’t take long before I got my first bikepacking bags to go on longer trips and overnighters. Four years later I found myself putting a steel gravel bike together specifically for that one purpose; cycling adventures.

I’ve put a SRAM AXS mullet groupset on the bike to make sure I can get over any climb or terrain. With a SRAM Force crankset and SRAM XO1 derailleur and cassette it’s truly business in the front, party in the back. I say it rides like a party everywhere.

The finish of the Stayer Groadinger UG is called ‘rawraw’. The raw steel frame is dipped in phosphate to get a darker look. Together with gold brazed welding you can see every small detail from the handmade frame.

Mounted in a carbon Columbus Futura Cross+ fork you can find a carbon Syncros Capital 1.0 X40 gravel wheelset. It’s a super lightweight wheelset (1616g / set) with a depth of 40mm and an inner width of 23mm making it better suited for wider tires like the Vittoria Mezcal 44mm tires. A fast rolling tyre that I can ride with a lot of confidence on multiple surfaces from loose to muddy.

The cockpit consists of a 440mm PRO Discover 30 handlebar. Specifically chosen to accommodate wider handlebar bags or a tent with poles.

The 80mm ZIPP Service Course stem is combined with an integrated mount to make sure the handlebars stay clear for mounting bags or aero bars. Below the computer mount I placed a GoPro mount to attach my Lupine Blika light that will be wired to an external battery in the frame pack or handlebar bag.
